Pioneer Computers’ Dreambook ePad N7 Packs Android And Nvidia’s Tegra2
nVidia’s Tegra2 chipset is a pretty impressive piece of hardware. However, it’s been lacking use for awhile. Hopefully, Pioneer Computers’ Dreambook ePad N7 will turn that around. It’d got some pretty impressive specs behind it: The Tegra 2′s 1.2 GHz ARM Cortex-A9 core, nVidia 3D graphics and 512MB DDR2 RAM. It’s also got 4 gigs of data storage and a 7-inch WVGA capacitive touch screen that supports multi-touch. It also runs on Android 2.1. Connectivity options are b/g WiFi, Bluetooth 2.1, and an optional 3G connection. Additional features include a 1.3MP webcam, sound jack, USB 2.0, HDMI out, microSD support, and a docking port. Battery life is an impressive 10 hours – almost as good as an iPad.
It’s set for a September release, with a going rate of around $445. An Android 2.2 update should be soon confirmed and access to the App Market, too.
