Pioneer Dreambook brings 7″ netbooks to the party
Pioneer Computers in Australia is giving me a bit of deja vu with their new netbook. It’s because their new Dreambook Lite E79 is similar to Haleron’s own 7″ Swordfish. Here’s the spec list.
Dreambook Lite E79
- 7″ 800 x 480 screen
- 533MHz Samsung ARM
- 128MB RAM
- 2GB flash storage
- Windows CE 5.0
- 802.11b/g WiFi, 3G (optional)
- card slot of storage expansion (up to 32GB)
- 3 x USB, headphone jack
- 4000 mAh battery
- Weight: 0.8kg
At least this one has a faster ARM processor from Samsung. they do have a similar trackpad which has the buttons on the sides. I’m guessing that this would get pretty good battery life right there, though it does have a slower processor. This would be a great all-day machine for browsing and email checking but nothing more. Get it for AU$199 (US$175) at Pioneer’s main site below.
