Pioneer ePad H10 HD Nears Release

Pioneer Computers, Australia’s leading computer company is all set to release the HD version of its H10 ePad. From where I’m sitting, it’s looking pretty competitive. At a price tag of 700 Australian dollars, you get a Tegra II 120 CPU, a gig of RAM, a 10.1″ 1280×800 capacitive screen, a 5 MP and 2 MP camera, your choice of up to 64GB SSD, GPS, and 3G. Th OS? Android’s Honeycomb build.

Why are the specs and OS so important? Because they’re pretty much like the frontrunners of the Android tablet market -  the Xoom and Galaxy Tab 10.1. This baby provides a very good alternative for those looking for a choice other than the two already out. Shipping date is supposed to be April – which is pretty close – and it should be a snap to order from Australia. Also, expect the price to go down – the iPad 2′s shadow of low prices is pulling everyone down.
