Pixel Qi DIY kits rolling out in Q2

Pixel Qi, makers of those black-and-white LCD-friendly displays we’ve been hearing about a lot, are preparing to sell a DIY version direct to consumers.

Mary Lou Jepsen, one of the founders of the company, says that it would be as easy as changing a light bulb. I’m sure it is but breaking open a netbook chassis is not for the faint of heart. What would be nice is if someone could put this into a slate tablet like the iPad to give you that Kindle-experience even when playing games or watching video.
