Prices Going All The Way Down: Allgo’s $50 Tablet Prototype

Well, here’s another Indian company making waves. Allgo may not beat their own government’s $35 minimum price but a $50 tablet is a much more believable product. The company has a prototype and several videos of it in action. It will probably cost higher when it hits retail – but unless you want an insane profit margin, you can probably still sell it below a hundred dollars and make an excellent profit.

Allgo’s actually been doing the rounds for awhile. Allgo’s Stamp prototype has a 7 inch, 800 x 480 pixel resistive touchscreen display. There’s no info on what processor it’s running though. There are several videos of the Stamp Tablet in action. Check it out – though don’t hold your breath to wait its release. It’s still just a prototype and expect some more fine-tuning before it hits the market.
