Ramos W22PRO Is An Android ICS Tablet

Ramos has rolled out a new Android 4.0-based tablet called the W22PRO. This device retails for $227.99 and features a 9.7-inch IPS capacitive touch screen. This screen has a resolution of 1024 x 768 and supports multi-touch gestures. Users can play full 1080P HD videos on this screen as well as many video file formats like AVI, MPEG, MOV, DAT, MPG, WMV, and MP4, among others. Those who want a larger screen, however, may connect one by means of its HDMI output port.

Underneath, the W22PRO tablet runs on a AML8726M-MX, Dual-core ARM Cortex-A9 processor with a clock speed of up to 1.5GHz. Its GPU is ARM Mali 400 while its RAM is 1GB DDR3.

Storage is provided by a 16 GB built-in memory although users can still add more through a TF card placed in its card reader. Its Wi-Fi 802.11b/g/n adapter allows users to connect to the Internet. However, those who want faster browsing and video streaming speeds may use a 3G dongle in its USB 2.0 port.

A 0.3 megapixel camera allows for video conferencing while a rear one is for capturing higher quality images with its 2 megapixel sensor.

Aside from HDMI and USB 2.0, its other ports include micro USB and OTG. A 3.5 mm audio jack is onboard, too, as well as a battery that promises up to 6 hours of video playback and 15 hours of audio enjoyment without WiFi.

Given the entry of the Google Nexus into the tablet market, it is unknown what might be the fate of tablets like the Ramos W22PRO which is even more expensive than the Nexus.
