Reviewed: Asus UL20A
If you’re looking for a shiny new netbook that packs a lot of durability and features while still being affordable and stylish, the Asus UL20A should go on your list. It’s a thin netbook that has the same Seashell profile as current Asus Eee PCs. Netbooked profiled and reviewed this device and had a lot of good things to say about it.
Asus UL20A
- 12.1″ 1366 x 768 screen
- 1.2GHz Intel Celeron SU2300 with GMA 4500M
- 2GB RAM (2 slots)
- 320GB HDD
- Windows 7 Home Premium 64-bit
- 802.11b/g/n WiFi, LAN, Bluetooth
- 3 x USB, VGA out, 0.3MP cam
- Altec Lansing Speakers, Express Gate Instant-On OS
- 6-cell 4400mAh battery (5.5 hour battery life)
- Weight: 1.51kg
It’s pretty hefty but it does have a lot going for it. There’s an easy access panel for upgrades, large comfy keyboard, keeps cool under regular use and 1080 capable. Unfortunately, there’s no HDMI out on this one. Nevertheless, it’s still a pretty good notebook for US$570.
