RIM is Preparing a BlackBerry Tablet, Seems Kind of Lame Though

Look who is joining the tablet frenzy? Would you believe that RIM, makers of the famous BlackBerry handset is also preparing to launch its own tablet device?

Citing exclusive information, Boy Genius Report is reporting that the BlackBerry Tablet will sport an 8.9-inch screen and will be meant as a companion device for BlackBerry handsets. This means that the said tablet could not stand on its own for connectivity features. It will be relying on Bluetooth connection or Wi-Fi radio from your BlackBerry phones.

In addition, the BlackBerry tablet’s main purpose would be for ebook reading, emailing, web browsing and guess what? It will not be a colored device. Yup, much like the Amazon Kindle.

The BlackBerry Tablet might be launch sometime in December.
