Although the Asus Eee PC supports practically any video files, the problem that would most likely be encountered by users is that long videos will have a large file size. Even if the a user is using the 8GB Asus Eee PC, file storage would still be a problem. So, the best possible solution to this problem is to encode videos in a format suitable for the Asus Eee PC.
How do you do that? Use Rockpod 8 Video Encoder, a free multi-file iPod/Zune/PSP video encoder for Windows and Linux. The video encoder just added the Asus Eee PC into the portable machines that it supports.
Rockpod encodes video files at 480 x 360 pixels. Although the Asus Eee PC’s native resolution is set at 800 x 480, watching videos at that resolution burns out the battery fast.
