Samsung Galaxy Note 10.1 Might Come at MWC 2012
A new tablet version of the Samsung Galaxy Note called the Galaxy Note 10.1 is currently in the works from the Korean company, and fans might just get a preview of the device at this year’s Mobile World Congress (MWC) in Madrid.
All this seems to be speculation, however, as there has been no actual official announcement from Samsung regarding the Galaxy Note 10.1. Nonetheless, several pieces of evidence pointing to the existence of this device are scattered across the web.
For instance, a blog post on the Samsung website, which has been already removed, mentions an exhibition for the Galaxy Note 10.1 at the MWC. An ad looking for a young actor to star in a Galaxy Note 10.1 commercial has also been spotted in Google’s cache.
Like the Samsung Galaxy Note, the tablet is expected to have the S-Pen SDK stylus input, which has an advantage in terms of precision over touch-enabled input. The use of the stylus expands the options for developers of apps for the Galaxy Note 10.1, who may create apps that require accurate input. This may even prompt the opening of a new on-device store that offers apps specifically entailing need for the S-Pen.
The Samsung Galaxy Note 10.1 may just be the company’s big surprise at the MWC, now that it has been announced that the Samsung Galaxy SIII will not be unveiled during the event.
