Samsung May Reconsider Android 4.0 for Galaxy Tab & Galaxy S

Samsung revealed just days before Christmas that the Galaxy Tab and the Galaxy S would not be receiving the Android 4.0 update. Ubergizmo reported at that time that the Galaxy S and Galaxy Tab both feature TouchWiz customizations and will not run smoothly on the hardware of the devices if they were ported over to Ice Cream Sandwich.

Plenty of Galaxy Tab and Galaxy S owners were saddened by that announcement. However, according again to Ubergizmo, Samsung may be reconsidering their stance on bringing the Android 4.0 ICS update to their older devices. The said report came ajnews and MSNBC in Korea, which basically stated that Samsung heard the pleas and outcries from their users and are now attempting to find a workaround.

Samsung has not confirmed this officially though.
