Samsung to unveil Galaxy tablet August 15th?

Samsung have sent out invitations for a “major announcement”. The invitation says that Samsung will be unveiling a new Galaxy device. This is rather broad and could be a new phone or tablet, or even an Android powered MP3 player. There are already rumors surrounding a Galaxy Note 2 but, CNET reckon Samsung will be unveiling the Samsung Galaxy Note 10.1 tablet.

Not only have Samsung said it’s a major announcement, which pretty much rules out any lower end Galaxy smartphone or music player but, the invite was sent from Samsung Electronics America who, don’t usually handle smartphone devices but, rather tablets. The event will be taking place August 15th at 10AM EST and we will know for sure what Samsung’s major announcement is.
