Samsung to Overtake Asus in Netbook Shipment in 2010
It looks like Samsung is off to become the second largest netbook supplier in 2010, beating Asustek. Digitimes is reporting that industry analyst are pretty confident that Samsung will be able to ship 7-8 million netbook units in 2010. This is enough to beat Asus which is planning to ship only 6 million units of the Eee PC.
With that Samsung will become the second largest netbook vendor next to Acer. Acer is forecasted to maintain its netbook shipment of 12 million in 2010.
Incidentally in case you’re wondering why Asustek is not going to ship more Eee PCs, reports say that Asustek will be concentrating on its traditional notebook product.
