Sony Tablet P and Tablet S Soon to be Released in India

After being seen in several countries around the world, Sony has finally announced that the Tablet P and Tablet S will soon be available in India. Both tablet models operate on Android Honeycomb OS and draw attention to their distinctive form factors when compared to other slates out in the market today.

The Sony Tablet P takes portability to the next level as it displays a clamshell-like dual screen folding structure. This one has a dual core 1GHz Nvidia Tegra 2 processor supported by 1GB RAM and an onboard memory of 4GB. Each screen measures 5.5 inches, while the rear panel has a 5MP camera. Both slates are PlayStation Certified and come pre-loaded with titles like Crash Bandicoot, Pinball Heroes, and more.

On the other hand, the Sony Tablet S is currently available in Wi-Fi as well as in 3G + Wi-Fi versions. It features a wedge shaped, or a folded book-like design that is expected to make it more comfortable to hold. The device boasts its 9.4-inch multi-touch display with a resolution of 1280 x 800p. The technical specifications of this device reveal a 1GHz dual core Nvidia Tegra 2 processor, expandable external memory of up to 32GB, 16GB user memory, a 5000mAh lithium-ion battery, a 5MP main snapper and a 0.3MP front facing VGA camera.

Wi-Fi variant will be available for Rs. 29,990, while the 3G + Wi-Fi option costs Rs. 33,990. The price is revealed to be Rs. 36,990. The Tablet S Wi-Fi edition can now be picked up from retailers, while the other two are expected by mid-January.
