Sony Vaio P Gets a Nice Clone in China

Frankly, the least that I expect to be cloned in China was the Sony Vaio P. I mean, it didn’t really get much headway when it was released, thanks to its high price point.

But this did not stop our friends in China to come up with a nice looking, or should I say better looking Sony Vaio P in the BYD ODM netbook.

The BYD ODM netbook boasts of a clean and stylish silver metal chassis, a 10-inch display with 16:10 aspect raion, big keyboard, small optical touchpad and a webcam.

Inside this netbook sit an 1GHz Intel Atom Z530 CPU, 1GB of RAM, hard drive with unknown capacity, 2 USB ports and SIM card slot. Unfortunately, there is not Ethernet and video output ports. But hey, that shouldn’t discourage from getting the BYD ODM netbook since it will be sold for around $300 USD. When? We have yet to know.
