eeepc-keyboard

John over at Eee-PC.de has modded his Asus Eee PC 1000H. He’s already added more RAM and a touchscreen, along with upgrading the SSD. So what more was left? The keyboard. John has posted of how he’s taken the original keyboard out of the 1000H and replaced it with the keyboard found in the 1000HE Eee PC. He explains that some modifications are needed for the 1000HE keyboard, but it only took 5 minutes to put it together. You can follow his guide with photos of how you can also replace the keyboard on your Asus 1000H.

N120 and 1000H compared
Finding it hard to decide between the Asus Eee PC 1000H and the Samsung N120? You may already have an Eee PC 1000H lying around, and you’re looking forward to getting your hands on an N120 to see if it’s worth “upgrading” to it, but in case you just can’t wait anymore, Liliputing has posted several photos comparing the two 10-inch netbooks side-by-side. From this, we learn that while the Samsung N120 is a bit wider (and therefore bigger) than the Asus Eee PC 1000H, it’s actually quite lighter, which makes it better for carrying around. We’ll let you be the judge of which one is the best–check out the rest of the photos at the post linked to below.

The MSI Wind U120 and Asus Eee PC 1000H are both fine ol’ netbooks, but some people just have to see the two side by side, in the flesh, before they can finally decide which to get between the two. Well, we won’t be able to warp you to some place where these two netbooks reside at the same time, but we do know a place where you can at least see them in pictures. It’s called the Internet. These photos, showing the Asus Eee PC 1000H beside an MSI Wind U120, may be the closest you’ll ever get to seeing the two netbooks together (next to your local computer store, that is). See the rest of the Asus Eee PC 1000H and MSI Wind U120 comparison photos in the site linked below.

Amazon now sell the EEE PC 1000h (10-inch Display, 1.6 GHz Intel ATOM Processor, 1 GB RAM, 80 GB Hard Drive, XP Home, 6 Cell Battery) for only $444.49, if you compare this to the $650 pricetag at the launch so is the a very good deal!

It seems as though Raon Digital’s Everun Note with it’s AMD Turion dual core processor and 1GB ram performs better than the current Atom-based notebooks. This has yet to be verified by a third-party but it sure looks promising.

Rumored price for the Everun Note is at $800
