Our good buddy Peter at Portable Monkey has posted a slew of photos comparing the Asus S101, S101H and 1002HA. These three are among Asus’s highest in their high-end netbook category, and other manufacturers haven’t been able to match these in some aspects. Him summary of the netbook comparison goes:

The similarities of all three ASUS Eee PC S101, S101H and 1002HA can be confusing and honestly, I can’t see a point to the S101H. The S101H is as we know, “the S101 but with a hard disk drive, instead of an solid state disk” but it’s actually half way between the S101 and the 1002HA. The differences are all so minimal though and don’t amount to much. I would either stick to the 1002HA and save money, or go for complete mobility and battery life with the S101. The S101H is in the middle, no man’s land…

Though it’s been practically available forever on other markets, MSI Wind Spanish reports that the Asus Eee PC 1002HA has just been officially announced over there, and they are pegging the price at about 449 € or nearly $600 USD. This particular netbook won’t be different from its U.S. or Asia-Pacific counterparts, in that it will come with a 10.2-inch screen, Intel Atom processor, 802.11 b/g/n Wi-Fi, and a 5-hour 4200mAh battery. It will come with Windows XP out of the box, but one can easily upgrade the OS to either Vista or Windows 7 if needed. No word yet on which retail outlets it will be sold in, but it should be in leading computer stores in the next few days.

The good looking brother of 1000HA, 1002HA is back in stock at Amazon.

The difference between 1000HA and 1002HA is that 1002HA have a brushed metal finish, is smaller/lighter and have bluetooth and 802.11n, the only thing where 1000HA is better is the battery, where 1000HA have a 6600 mAh and 1002HA only have a 4400 mAh battery.

We reported earlier today that Asus Eee 1002HA Shows Up in US Online Stores, and now we found out that it is in stock at Amazon.com. So if you like the good looks of the 1002HA, you better order quick, because I think they will be sold very fast!

Following Crave.net’s report about the Eee PC 1002HA, our friends from laptopmag were able to get a brief hands-on of the pre-prod model of the said new netbook from Asus.

Joanna Stern noted that the Eee PC 1002HA has a striking resemblance with both the Eee PC S101 and of course the Eee PC 1000H. She also observed that the 1002HA has a thinner profile that the 1000H, almost an inch less thick to be exact.

But like what Crave observed, the 1002HA has a brushed aluminum finish notably on its lid. It also has the same styling as the Eee PC S101.

The Eee PC 1002HA’s keyboard is similar to the 1000H while its trackpad is almost the same as the S101. So, I guess we could say that the Eee PC 1002HA is a hybrid of the 1000H and the S101.
