Why anyone would want to do this I’m not sure but, I know there are more than a few enquiring minds out there so if you have an overwhelming urge to ‘go nostalgic’ with your Eee PC, now is your chance. Over on his blog, jair2k4 has posted information that indicates he has tried and tested Windows 3.11 and DOS on his Eee, successfully. He even got the ethernet up and running on this set up.

So, if you’ve had enough of the newer operating systems, there is nothing stopping you from using your Eee as a time machine and going back to the days when Windows 3.11 was fresh and netbooks were a mere dream of the future.
