While most netbook sleeves and cases are rather funky, the majority of the ones I’ve seen are either slightly masculine, or those with a feminine touch are just netbook sleeves. NetbookCrazy have posted of one netbook bag that is sure to appeal to many women, the busy execs and the fashion conscious. The netbook tote bag from Ultimate Addons is more of a handbag but, one that can fit a netbook in. Netbooks with 7 inch to 10.2 inch displays are supported. Like a regular handbag it can also fits all your other bits and bobs in like a mobile, makeup kit etc. The bag doesn’t appear to be available from Ultimate Addons website, but it is available from eBay for £21.99 or Ultimate-netbook for £19.99. The bag is also available in two neutral colors, either black, or brown.

Whoever said netbooks didn’t need biometric security? Of course they do. At least that’s what UPEK is trying to say. And so the company wants to equip your netbook/MID with their newest biometric security solutions (read: fingerprint scanners). Last time I checked, add-on fingerprint scanners on notebooks cost a fortune. UPEK didn’t reveal any pricing details about their producs, but if they fit the budget, then sure, why not get them, right?

fish-eye-lens
Do you want to impress your IM buddies by making them see you through your webcam as if you were in front of a googly-eyed fish? In case you did, well, now you can. A nifty little fish eye lens for webcams has been spied on the listings of eBay, and it can be had for a measly $10 a piece. It gives the fish eye lens effect on your netbook’s built-in webcam, which is cool but useless, if anything else. It does make you look cute, though, or scary, depending on your chat buddy’s outlook in life. Still, it looks like it’s one of those netbook accessories that’s “Oh, whatever, I’ll get one” just because.

kroo-netbook-cases
CES saw many companies putting “netbook” titles on products such as travel mice, or laptop cooling pads. Some companies have expanded their range of products to include netbook specific accessories. Kroo is one such company. Makers of cellphone and laptop cases have now added cases for netbooks. Several products have been added to their line to cater for 7 to 10 inch screens. If you’d like to purchase a case for your netbook, Amazon are selling a number of Kroo’s cases for under $20.

Digitimes is reporting that some DVD manufacturers are also benefitting from the growing popularity of low-cost netbooks. PC accessory manufacturers such as Sony, Pioneer, LG, Asustek, BenQ and other brands have registered significant sales increase of their DVD burners since netbooks have became so popular.

Since netbooks don’t come with built-in DVD/DVD RW drives, users have resorted to buying third-party products that they use together with their netbooks.

Interestingly, just like the low-cost netbooks, these external slim netbooks are also selling at low costs as well, averaging from $83-$90.

Aside from DVD burners, if you have already bought one for your Eee PCs and other netbooks, what other accessories have you bought to complement your netbooks? USB Wi-Fi dongle? USB speakers?
