There are lots of redesigned laptops created in compensation with the demands of tech advancement. As a result, a vast number of mobile PC companies are aspiring to reinvent their slates just like with the Acer that aims to slightly spruce up their very own Aspire Ultrabook slate.

According to one of the Acer’s Middle East country managers Grigory Nizovsky on a press, the Acer Ultrabook will going to launch a “new platform from Intel” early next year. Also he said that Acer is planning to release the second generation of Aspire S3 next year and anticipated to double its market sales. The statement given somehow is vague since there is no promising date and sort of what specification of Intel will be incorporated with the new-planned lightweight laptop. It’s just that after the Sandy Bridge might boom the latest Ivy Bridge processor that is estimated to appear on the third quarter of 2012.

At the beginning of the month we saw a new netbook from Acer which looked like the recently released Aspire One D255. There was one key difference though, the netbook showed up in green with the “Happy” tag. At the time there was no information on which markets it would be released to and what the pricing would be. NetbookNews have now spotted the Happy netbook online at several European retailers, Acuista.com, Ramiris.hu, Paratupc. Pricing varies from €322.60 to €326.23 which converts to just less than $440.

The pictures are still of the green colored Aspire One Happy but, it should also be available in other colors. Unfortunately specs wise it doesn’t include the dual core N550 processor like the D255. Instead it sports the Intel Atom N450 CPU. Other specs include a 10.1 inch display, 1GB RAM, a 160GB or 250GB hard drive and connectivity options consist of WLAN, 10/100 LAN but, no bluetooth. It will also run Windows 7 Starter.

Acer likes to mix things up as I’m sure you’ve already known. They rebrand Acer laptops for their other store brands like Gateway or eMachines. They also like reusing chassis for newer models.

The Acer Aspire TimelineX 1830T is no exception. It is an Acer Aspire Timeline 1810 but instead of a Celeron ULV processor, it now flexes its beefed up Core i5 processor. The clock speed is variable, ranging from 1.06GHz to 1.86GHz which would be a perfect combination of a low-power device that gives a kick when you need it to. It also boasts an 8 hour battery life, not too shabby.

This device has already showed up in a few blogs as well as at the FCC where it’s known by a few other aliases like the Acer AO721 and JV10. Wait for the official announcement within the month for the other details.

The touch screen tablet netbook from Acer has finally launched in France, about 6 weeks after it became available in Germany. The netbook features a tablet style design, with an 11.6 inch touch screen display. Resolution is 1366×768. You can purchase the 1420P from French retailer Rue de Commercis. Pricing is at 499 Euros.

Other specs include 3GB of RAM, dual core Intel Celeron SU2300 CULV processor and a 250GB hard drive, along with Windows 7 Home Premium. You’ll also find a HDMI and VGA output port, an SD card reader and 802.11b/g/n WiFi.

Denosha over at VR-zone forums wrote up a review on the Acer Aspire 1820PTZ which he got from an early release in Singapore. The tablet netbook is pretty hefty, likely since there’s some added hardware to make the multitouch screen work. As with most tablets, you can swivel the monitor flush against the keyboard though he worries it might break with prolonged use. The keyboard looks good since it’s similar to the friendlier chiclet keyboard of the HP Mini and Dell netbooks.

The multitouch feature doesn’t take finger input well, he says, but the stylus works well. While the accelerometer that controls the screen orientation has a slight lag, he says it’s still usable. You can read more on this in his complete review by clicking the link below.

With the Holiday season just around the corner, expect PC manufacturers to rush on their new netbooks in time for the start of the holiday shopping season.

Acer for one is already preparing its Christmas netbook offering, and Acer certainly got loads of them in store for all of us. Blogeee listed these Acer netbooks as follow:

Aspire One D250-0Bk_XP316 – This netbook will sport a 10.1-glossy screen, Intel Atom N270 CPU, 0.3MP webcam, SDHC card reader, Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g, 3 USB ports, 3-cell battery and Windows XP dual booting with Android. This Aspire One netbook will go for around 259 €.

Next is the Aspire One D250_0DK_W7616 with almost the same spec as the previous Aspire One but this time with Windows 7 and 6-cell battery. Price goes up to 299 €.

Another Acer netbook to watch out for is the Aspire One 531h-ODK_W725 with almost same spec as the D250_0DK_W7616 but this time with a bump up storage of 250GB and 2 SDHC card reader plus Bluetooth 2.0. Price is bumped up to 329 €.

Last, we have the Aspire On 751h-52BK_XP616. This netbook has an Intel Atom Z520 CPU, 6-cell battery with 7 hours battery life and Windows XP Home. It will sell for 349€.

Acer’s dual booting netbook, the D250 is due to hit stores in November. Currently no price is known but, despite the fact that it will run Android doesn’t mean it will be cheaper than the current 10 inch netbook from Acer. For those unfamiliar with th D250, the netbook will ship with Android along with Windows XP largely due to the company not knowing how Android will be received amongst consumers. The D250 has already been previewed and the Windows OS worked as well as expected on a netbook but, the Android side of things could be improved, so hopefully it’ll be improved by release.

NetbookNews.de have been lucky enough to get their hands on a new Acer Aspire One D150 netbook from Asia and have posted up unboxing shots and a video of the hands-on, which is posted below, for those of us who are waiting patiently for the new Acer model to be shipped out.

The Aspire One D150 isn’t available in the US or Europe yet, it’s available in Taiwan and Hong Kong currently, although deals are becoming available now with shipping imminent at retailers such as Best Buy and Amazon.
