Acer Aspire One

A few days after Acer officially announced its 10-inch Aspire One netbook,  a major online PC store in the Philippines has already put up a pre-order page for the said netbook. The Acer Aspire One 103 will be availble on March 13 and will have a basic SRP of P25, 995.

PC Corner, a local Philippine PC Store is offering various package deals for the Aspire One 103 including an Acer ODD.

Take note, the Aspire One 103 will have the Intel Atom N280 instead of the usual Atom N270 processor. The Atom 280 is faster by only 60Hz than the Atom 270. Likewise, PC Corner is also offering an optional 3G module for the said netbook.

Here’s a quick run down of the Aspire One 103′s tech specs as listed on PC Corner’s pre-order page.

It looks like it’s all systems go for the much awaited 10-inch version of the Acer Aspire One. If the photos of the 10-inch AAO that leaked out  a couple of days ago left you in awe and is now eagerly awaiting its release, then you don’t have to wait that long. Acer has just ordered 4 million units of the said netbook from OEM Compal Electronics.

Reports had it that Acer has ordered three models of the 10-inch Aspire One from Compal and one additional orders for another model was made from Quanta Computer.

The new Acer netbook will now be officially called Aspire One 103 and will feature leaf  hinges that differentiate it from the original Aspire One. Additionally, the Aspire One 103 will have the standard Atom processor, SD card slot, 3 USB ports, and a multitouch keypad.
