The T91 netbook from Asus, featuring a touchscreen display, is available in a few countries now and JKK Mobile have got their hands on one of the machines. Instead of the usual unboxing photos, JKK have opted for a video presentation of the unboxing ceremony. As well as unboxing their new netbook, the video shows the netbook booting up, along with a look at the touch screen interface and responsiveness.
The netbook features an 8.9 inch touch screen display, Intel Atom Z520 CPU and runs Windows XP Home for it’s operating system. It also features a semi 3D graphics card, created by Asus themselves.
Folks in the UK who are looking to get hold of the first convertible netbook from Asus, featuring an 8.9 inch display, will have to wait even longer than what we previously reported. The Asus Eee PC T91 had already been delayed until the 22nd of June due to logistic problems. Netbookchoice have confirmed that the T91 will now not be available until late July. A date hasn’t been confirmed but Asus UK confirmed that the timeline was concrete and more delays are not likely. The convertible netbook is taking longer to be released in the UK as Asus want to be 100% happy with the product before shipping and touching up the interface.
Following the sightings of that Asus convertible netbook last March in UK, one of our good reader (Thanks Rys!) informed us that the the said netbook known as the Asus T91 will be coming soon in the UK. How soon? Well, something like end of May or early part of June.
And if this information is not enough to get you excited, how about if we tell you that it would have a price tag of something around $670? Well, that’s certainly not as enticing as it would be, especially in this trying times, right?
But considering that this convertible netbook, aside from its touchscreen features will be sporting a GPS and TV tuner, and a plethora of standard netbook features, that price point might be justifiable.
The Asus T91 would also be equipped with a 9-inch display.
