The FCC just announced and finally approved the release of this 7-inch screen display Tab with HSPA+ radio and support for 850MHz and 1900MHz GSM bands.

To familiarize yourself with the device, certain details will be discussed in here including its exceptional specs. The Galaxy Tab 7.0 of Samsung is packed with 1.2GHz dual-core Exynos processor and 1GB of RAM and run by the latest Touch Wiz UI of Android 3.2 Honeycomb. With its very sleek design, the entire tab measures at 9.6mm thin and enclosed within a light weight resilient plastic weighing about 345 grams. There’s also a 3MP rear-facing camera that can record HD video in 720p and a 2MP front-facing cam for video calls like on Skype. The device is created with Wi-Fi connectivity, a micro-SD slot, stereo speaker and a microphone. As well as a 30-pin dock connector for the much too short cables and an infrared port with a bundled apps called as Peel Smart Remote are included in the Galaxy Tab 7.0.

With its outstanding dual-core Exynos processor, the device is capable of handling higher resolution display with ease in comparison with the past most tablets. The price of Samsung Galaxy Tab 7.0 Plus is $399 for 16GB and $499 for 32GB; a bit pricey yet it’s all worth it.

So, the WSJ is reporting that Verizon and Google are currently in talks regarding a possible collaboration on a new Tablet product. Obviously, this is Google’s answer to Apple’s iPad which has a 3G version which is tied up with AT&T. And this is the reason why Verizon is teaming up with Google.

A Google spokesperson did not issue an official Google statement about the report. But Verizon Chief Executive Officer Lowell McAdams told WSJ:

“We’re working on tablets together, for example. We’re looking at all the things Google has in its archives that we could put on a tablet to make it a great experience.”

Convinced or not? Do you think that this tablet can fairly compete with the iPad?

At the time, it was thought that it was more of an experiment, rather than something they might actually release. However a netbook has hit the FCC by HP, which resembles the model shown off at CES. It’s confirmed that the netbook will feature a 1GHz Snapdragon processor. The netbook will also feature a 3G sim module and is hinted to be headed to AT&T.

If the Compaq AirLife 100 is the same netbook shown at CES and will come with Android, HP will have to make modifications to the OS, as Android was created for smartphones. Google Chrome is the netbook alternative but, a HP rep has said that Android has advantages over Chrome, specifically when it comes to touch screen support.

LG have now released their first netbook, the LG X120 in the US today. Like we previously said, the netbook will be available from Radio Shack. It’s become clear now, that the netbook will be available from Radio Shack online and selected stores as well as from AT&T stores. No price information for the standalone netbook has been released. The LG X120 can be picked up from AT&T with a data contract. Unfortunately the contract will be more than initially thought. The netbook appears to only be available with the $60 package instead of the $35 package. The contract is for 2 years, which puts the netbook on the pricey side. Hopefully we’ll see it available on the $35 per month package soon. Of course, the higher package does give you much more. You get 5GB of data transfer instead of 200mb and you also get access to 20,000 WiFi Hot Spots for no extra cost.

AT&T have started to offer the HP Mini 110 with a 2 year data contract. The netbook is available from both AT&T and Verizon on the same deal. The 110 will cost $199 which normally would be quite good but, with the Black Friday deal from Amazon, they are also offering the netbook alone, for $199. Main differences however is the Amazon version comes with XP and is currently out of stock, which isn’t surprising.

Still looking for that $199 netbook? Well, AT&T and computer retailer CDW might just make your dream come true. CDW is now offering subsidized Acer and HP netbook that even comes with 3G module.

Sounds good right? But that goes out with a catch of course. The thing is, you can get this offer if you agree to be bounded by a 2-year AT&T service plan.

So, with a $199 cash-out to get a netbook, AT&T is practically subsidizing around$150 of your costs for getting the netbook. To offer this promo AT&T will charge you with either a $60 per month LaptopConnect plan which would come with 5GB of data. The thing is, if you exceed this limit you will have to pay 49 cents for each gigabyte of domestic data.

If you’re outside of the U.S. and if you country qualifies, you can also get the subsidized deal for $140 a month 2-year contract with 100MB data and $230 per month with 200MB data. If you exceed this data quota, you will have to pay $19.97 per MB and $20,447 per GB. Now that’s an awful lot of money, right?

What do you think? Sounds like a good package deal?

Rumors of a subsidized 3G-enabled 10-inch Acer Aspire One going on sale through Costco have been floating around weeks ago. Now, we have even more evidence in support of these rumors. By way of leaked internal documents, it has been revealed that Costco employees are currently being trained for an upcoming launch and the reportedly, D-Day will be on May 11th. That is, when the 10-inch netbook will finally be available, not only on Costco’s kiosks, but also on AT&T’s stores. There’s no word yet on a final price, but it shouldn’t be too far from how much the subsidized 3G-enabled 9-inch model is selling these days, which isn’t much, if you don’t count the obligatory 2-year contract.

It was already a good deal when it was first announced a few weeks back, but now the $99 3G-enabled Acer Aspire One only costs $79 from RadioShack. There’s no catch, only the same obligatory 2-year contract under AT&T, but besides that, the $79 AAO is all yours for the taking in case you’re interested. We’re not sure if this means we’ll be seeing free netbooks from the likes of AT&T any time soon in the U.S., but it sure is a nice prospect. Besides, they’ll find it hard to sell old models especially now that the new ones are all over the place, anyway.
