NEC Japan has just announced two new netbooks under the LaVie Light series – the BL100 and BL300/310/350 series.   While these NEC netbooks offer nothing much new to the netbook table, it still is worthy of our coverage and mention.

So first we have the BL100 equipped with a 16GB SSD, Intel Atom N270 1.6GHz CPU, 10.1-inch LCD, webcam, 1GB RAM, and WiFi. The NEC BL100 will retail for around $520 in white design.

The BL300 on the other hand features 10.1-inch LCD screen, Intel Atom N280 1.66GHz CPU, 160GB HDD, 1GB RAM, webcam, WiFi, and Bluetooth. This NEC netbook will be available in three variants – the BL350 and BL310 both priced at around $725 and BL300 priced at $625.

The BL350 boasts of 7.4 hours battery life while the BL300/310 boasts 4.2 hours. All models come pre-installed with Windows XP.

No words yet whether these netbooks will be available internationally.
