/> Verizon Wireless is reportedly prepping to launch its very own subsidized netbook, a device that will be bundled with some form of the carrier's wireless broadband service. The project doesn't sound like it's anywhere near completion, and pricing info isn't available yet, but a person close to the project is cited to have confirmed this. Verizon already has competition in the form of AT&T as far as selling unsubsidized netbooks isn't concerned, but the wireless carrier is expected to offer a similar, if not better deal, selling netbooks in the company’s stores, and retail partners who also may stock them. Interestingly, what kind of netbook Verizon is going to sell or from what manufacturer it's going to come from wasn't revealed. Perhaps the wireless carrier is aiming to entice potential buyers, with the right price rather than the right brand.

Via O2 UK is feeling generous and will start offering the Samsung NC10 for free starting from February 27th. As you probably know, the Samsung NC10 is a great 10.2-inch netbook that many have hailed as the best netbook ever. It comes with a 1.6GHz Intel Atom processor, 1GB RAM, 160GB HDD, and other standard netbook features. Where it stands out over other netbooks is its great keyboard, touchpad, and long battery life. Anyone in the UK looking to get themselves a new netbook shouldn't pass on O2's great offer. Data plans start around £30 per month for 3GB of mobile broadband, unlimited Wi-Fi at the Cloud wireless hotspots, and 300 free O2-to-O2 text messages. It's only a matter of time until other carriers across the world start offering similar packages with the Samsung NC10.

Via <a
