Seems some companies never learn. Previous years at CeBIT have seen raids happen due to copyright infringements and this years no different. The company who were raided by German police have asked to remain unnamed but, we do know they produce ebook readers and netbooks. The company was also raided at IFA. Apple, Siemens and Sisvel have filed a patent infringement claim, along with a €10,000 fine.

As of yet, we don’t know what exactly what patent the Chinese company infringed but, they were seen talking with lawyers. Within an hour of the police showing up, the whole booth was stripped of all it’s electronics. The Chinese company still tried their best despite this and was seen handing out literature.

While to most, a smartbook is considered a cross between a smartphone and a netbook. However, a company in Germany, are fighting to save their trademark, with the company name being Smartbook and as Liliputing say, are about to confuse a lot of people. Smartbook will be releasing their own mini laptop. Unlike other smartbooks and netbooks on the market though, the Smartbook Logo is to be a CULV laptop. Featuring an 11.6 inch display, with a 1366×768 resolution, 1GB RAM and 250GB hard drive. It wll also feature HDMI output and use Windows 7 Home Premium for the OS. You’ll also find a 3G UMTS modem on the Smartbook Logo.

The company are set to launch the Smartbook Logo 3G next month at CeBit. In Europe it will retail for around 699 Euros.

Besides conceptual things like the dual-touchscreen notebook we showed you a while back, Asus is expected to showcase a few other netbook-related things such as a 512GB SSD-equipped Eee PC S121, the awesome Eee keyboard, and a so-called Eee PC 1008HA Shell. This new netbook is supposedly another ultra-thin model for the company’s Eee PC line, and will feature new industrial design and longer battery life than its predecessor. More on these as we get the info.

It doesn’t look like Asus will be launching new netbooks at CeBIT 2009, but they do have some pretty interesting things on display. On top of these things is the dual touchscreen notebook that you see pictured above. Currently, this device is more like a concept, as the unit displayed at CeBIT isn’t exactly a full working prototype, but it does look quite functional, and with the on-screen virtual keyboard it seems practical. It runs on Microsoft’s Windows 7 OS, and has a few apps lying on the desktop. No word on when this type of device will be released in retail, though, but you can expect that it’s going to take a while before that happens.

Unfortunately, nothing much can be said about the Eee PC 1008HA Shell except for the fact that it would have a new industrial design and a longer battery life.

But interestingly, aside from the Eee PC 1008HA Shell, Asus will also be showcasing other Eee PC models at the CeBIT 2009. These include the Eee PC S101H, Eee PC T91, Eee PC S121, UX and U-Series. The Eee Keyboard will also be announced during the said event.

Additionally, the Eee PC S121 will be available with a whopping 512GB SSD and a 120GB HD which will cost $1,649 and $899 respectively.

The Eee Keyboard on the other hand will feature an Intel Atom Z520 CPU, SCH US15W chipset and Windows XP.
