Following our report that Dell is offering its Inspiron Mini 9 netbook after cancelling it last month, well it looks like another Dell netbook just got axed from the Dell line up. According to Electronista, Dell has dropped its Mini 12 from its rooster of netbook. That leaves Dell with only one netbook now – the Dell Mini 10. You can check out Dell’s official page for its Mini netbook products and you’ll see that indeed the Mini 12 is nowhere in sight.

There’s really no official reason why Dell has made this move. Although rumors has it that it might be due to the fact that the Mini 12 might be replaced by the new Mini 11 netbook model. The Mini 11 will be running on Intel’s CULV ultra mobile processors which is runs faster than the Intel Atom CPU which the Mini 12 has.

If you’ve been planning to get the Dell Mini 12, you might as well wait for sometime as I’m pretty sure Dell will be restocking its inventory of these netbooks coming unsold inventory.

In the mood for some gadget porn today? You’re in luck, because a (possibly bored) Dell Inspiron Mini 12 owner has gone through the trouble of dismembering his machine and displaying the photos of the resulting lewdness on his blog. The completely opened up Dell Mini 12 shows that there’s a lot of room for improvement (i.e. plenty of empty space), but that also tells us that Dell didn’t bother at all to make the thing as compact as they can. In any case, if you want to have a peek inside the Dell Mini 12, now’s your chance. Go see the photos at the site linked below.
