Well recently, this was put up for pre-order at Amazon recently with no shipping date available. But then all of a sudden the pre-order page now has it. Amazon has listed the Eee Keyboard to be in stock.

That means that if you order now, there’s a big chance that you’ll receive this new Asus product the following day.  And as expected, the Eee Keyboard’s price is kind of high at $599. But then, its features, except for the display may be well worth that price.

Sorry folks for bringing you up the Eee Keyboard again. In fact, I could not remember how many times Asus has teased us with the Eee Keyboard which is probably only Asus product which has been in hibernation for the longest time.

But hey, this might be it. This might be the day when Asus has finally finished the product and is now ready for public consumption. In fact, you can pre-ordered it already from Amazon if you haven’t done so.

Unfortunately, just as when reports say that Asus has made the Eee Keyboard official, Asus forgot to tell us when it will be available. So, is your guess as good as mine? Did you pre-order the Eee Keyboard already?

But hey, with all due respect to Asus, the Eee Keyboard has turned out pretty fine in terms of look and appearance.

Finally! Barring anymore untoward circumstances, it seem that those who have waited long enough for the Asus Eee Keyboard will finally get their chance to see what this device is capable of. As previously announced, the Asus Eee Keyboard is about to be released by the end of this month.

But guess what? You can now pre-order it from Amazon to ensure that you’d get the device once Asus release it on the said date. The only catch? You have to shell out a hefty sum of $599.

If you don’t mind spending that much for a keyboard with a small display screen then we will not discourage you from buying the Eee Keyboard. But to remind you, the said device features:

Unfortunately no other information is available yet. But in case you forgot already – the Eee Keyboard has an integrated five-inch touchscreen, HDMI-out and UWB plus some other features and specs. We expect this Eee Keyboard to be priced around $500 to $600.

The Commodore brand name has just been bought and the new company, Commodore USA, wants to bring that classic keyboard computer into homes in the near future.

It’s pretty much the same as the old setup but this time it will have an Intel Core 2 Duo processor (and even a Quad Core version), 2 TB of storage and everything you see in your regular tower desktop including VGA ports and LAN out. It can’t beat the Eee Keyboard though since it only features a trackpad and no mini touchscreen on the right side like its competitor. No wireless on it as well. If my laptop is any indication, this will run pretty hot; it’ll sure give a new meaning to ‘hotkeys’.

No word on pricing or availability. In the mean time, dust off your old C64 and relive those great TV gaming moments of the past.

Ah, previously it was the Apple tablet which was the mythical fantasy gadget lusted by all but nowhere to be found. With the iPad coming to life, the next fabled gadget in everyone’s minds is the Eee Keyboard from Asus. There’s been lots of press on it and it’s even showed up in a few trade shows. Sadly, no word has even been confirmed by the manufacturer as to when it will be available.

So I’m not surprised at all that Asus has yet again pushed back the release of the Eee Keyboard back to April from the previous February launch (which we already missed of course). Jonney Shih, Asus CEO, said that the product is still being polished up and I don’t blame him. Stick in a computer in something you’ll be banging on everyday would really need to have excellent specifications. Couple that with a touchscreen integrated and you have a pretty complex device in your hands.

One thing I can say though, the mock up above looks pretty sweet with a comfy keyboard and an iPhonesque touchscreen that doubles as a trackpad and a monitor when needed.

Ever since the Eee Keyboard was announced, people have been eyeing it with interest we haven’t seen since the Commodore C64 came out. Asus has kept on delaying its release so Chinese manufacturer Great Wall went ahead and sold their own version.

The Cross PC U150 bundles all the PC components you need into a handy keyboard package. What’s interesting is they were even able to squeeze in a touchscreen LCD display on where the numpad should be, making it much more usable. Some specs:

• Intel Atom processor
• NVIDIA Ion graphics
• 2GB RAM
• 250GB HDD
• WiFi
• full-keyboard
• Handwriting recognition
• VGA, HDMI out

It doesn’t sport a battery so I’d guess it makes this a nettop of sorts and needs external power to keep on running. Just don’t tug on the power cord too often. It also has no support for dual displays so it’s either you use the tiny display or plug in a bigger one. That’s a bummer since would have been nice to use it for input.

It’s now for sale in China for 3888RMB or US$570

The Asus Eee Keyboard has been circulating around the web for quite some time now. And the latest we heard about it is coming straight from the CES 2010, as Asus finally said that the Eee Keyboard will be finally available in February.

Since it has already been a long time, you might have forgotten already about the features of the Eee Keyboard. So let us remind you that Asus has put in the possibly all the parts that you need to run a normal desktop or netbook into this keyboard. As such the Eee Keyboard has an Intel Atom N270 1.6GHz CPU, 1GB of RAM, 16GB SSD upgradeable to 32GB, built-in battery, single DIMM slot.

And would you believe that Asus was even able to load this keyboard with a 5-inch touch display plus of course loaded it up with Windows XP Home Edition. To run Windows XP, you need to attach the keyboard to an external display, so it has built-in VGA-out and HDMI-out as well.

The Asus Eee Keyboard will set you back for $499, that is if Asus will not delay its shipment again.
