Found on the FCC website are two pages which indicate that Asus will be bringing a 3G enabled Eee PC to the US. The first netbook, the Asus Eee PC 1003HAG appears to be the same as the Eee PC 1000H, featuring a 10 inch screen, Intel Atom CPU and 160GB hard drive. The 1003HAG though has a 3G modem added to the specifications. 3G does come at a sacrifice though as there is no Wifi or bluetooth hardware installed on the netbook.

The second Eee PC netbook features a smaller screen at 8.9 inches but, appears to have the same chassis and specifications as the Eee PC 1000 line. By using the same chassis as the Eee PC 1000 netbooks, this enables the Asus Eee PC 904HG to feature the same larger keyboard found on the Eee PC 1000 models. The 904HG also features a 3.5G modem as well as coming with a multi touch trackpad and 6 cell battery.

The much awaited 10inch Eee PC 1000 and 1000H has finally hit the UK shelves today. The 1000 model runs on Linux and weighs only 1.33kg as opposed to the 1000H which runs on Windows XP and is 1.45kg. Even though the price difference in tiny (£349 and £369 respectively), the 1000H also offers a hefty 80GB hard drive while the 1000 model offers a 40GB SSD. Both use Intel’s new Atom processor and support both Wi-Fi and Bluetooth connectivity for those who are always on the go.

So which one do you prefer? Asus is also boasting that the 1000 series have around 7.5 hours of battery life due to many design enhancements done on these models too.

We may not know this little feature or should I say add on due to the slew of details and information that we have read coming from the Computex. Xcome Technology, a mobile solutions provider and Asustek have preloaded the Eee PC 901 and Eee PC 1000 series with the XLex Bilingual dictionary. The bilingual dictionary features the latest content from world-renowned dictionary publishers Longman and Berlitz, the dictionary covers English to English, English to Traditional Chinese and English to Simplified Chinese. It also contains 220,000 words and phrases for the Greater China market. For the European and Asian markets the dictionary offers English to German, French, Italian, Russian, Spanish, Japanese and Korean.

The said bilingual dictionary also features a clean design and intuitive user interface, with true-voice learning emphasized Text-to-Speech functionality, instant definition, and mini-mode.
