There you go folks, as expected Asus has officially launched it latest Eee PC 1008P with of course Intel’s Pine Trail Platform and Atom N450 Processor. While we may have seen so many pictures and read several reports about this new Eee PC Seashell netbook, what we don’t know yet until now is that it will be sporting two handsome color design.  Designed by fashion icon Karim Rashid, the Eee PC 1008P looks stunning in its pink and coffee brown colors.

Aside from the stylish look, the Eee PC 1008P is pretty much what we’ve told you about several times before. It boasts of the following features/specs:

• Intel Atom N450 CPU
• up to 2GB of RAM
• 10.1-inch LED backlit display
• GMA 3150 Graphics
• 250GB HDD + 500GB ASUS Online Web Storage
• 3-cell battery (up to 6 hours battery life)
• 1.3MP webcam
• Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n
• Bluetooth 2.1
• Windows 7 Home Premium

Asus are to reveal the Eee PC Seashell 2 at CES, but HardwareZone have spotted the netbook and taken photos of it. The Seasell 2 is the Eee PC 1008P. As we reported before, the 1008P is likely to be the same as the 1008HA, but with the new Pine Trail CPU. Other specs include 160GB hard drive, 1GB of RAM and a VGA port. Behind a hidden cover is also a removable battery.

Spotted on the street (Hardware Zone) by Blogeee is a spanking new Eee PC 1008P sporting a stunningly pink colored bezel with a irregularly textured design.

Although there’s nothing official about this new Eee PC yet, reports had it that Asus is set to introduce this new netbook during CES 2010.

Let’s see now, what’s so interesting about this new Eee PC 1008P?

Well, of course its stylish design is one good reason why we should be interested in it. It was designed by Karim Rashid, who is said to be a prolific designer. The Eee PC 1008P features a textured, colorful, pink and slightly shiny bezel which would certainly make your girlfriends excited about.

Aside from its stunning design, other features of this Eee PC 1008P include – 10 inch display, Intel Atom N450 Pineview CPU, chicklet style keyboard and an integrated battery (not removable) which we are not yet sure what its capacity will be.

Expect Asus to come up with a toned down, regular design of the Eee PC 1008P once it becomes official.

Is Asus preparing to release two new Eee PC models soon? Liliputing is reporting an FCC filing for two new Eee PC 1008 with appended P and PGO on their names. If you’ve been closely following the development of most Eee PCs, you’d know that Asus is fond of appending the “G” for their Eee PCs which have 3G wireless modems.

Details of about the Eee PC 1008P/1008PGO are still scarce although based on the documents filed with the FCC, these Eee PCs will have the Intel Atom N450 CPU, 1GB rRAM, 160GB HDD, Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g, Bluetooth, and 1.3MP webcam. These Eee PCs might also have a 10.1-inch display like the Eee PC 1008HA.

The question is will these Eee  PCs be released in the U.S.? And which carrier will most likely get it.
