Folks in the U.S. who have been eagerly waiting for the arrival of  the first Eee PC in the Seashell branding – the Eee PC 1101HA, would be glad to know that it has finally arrived on U.S. soil. Both Newegg.com and BuyDig.com are now accepting orders for the said Eee PC.

Both stores are selling the Eee PC 1101HA for $429.99. And as a review here are the specs of the Eee PC 1101HA:

Netbook Italia just got their hands on a spunking new Eee PC 1101HA. And guess what they’ve found out? According to Netbook Italia, you can actually overclock the BIOS of the 1101HA up to 32% to make its processor work like a standard Intel Atom N270. In case you may have forgotten, the Eee PC 1101HA only got a slower Atom Z520 1.33GHz for its CPU.

Interestingly, this could probably the reason why the 11.6-inch 1101HA comes with a cooling fan inside. This was probably build in anticipation of users overclocking this netbook later on. Overclocking the BIOS of your Eee PC would have the tendency to run it on hot temperature. So that cooling fan might actually help.

When Asus demoed the Eee PC 1101HA during the just concluded Computex 2009 event, may got excited not only because of its 11.6-inch display but also its thin form factor.  But since then Asus has been mum the shipment date and pricing information of this netbook, until now.

Netbook Italia learned that the Eee PC 1101HA will start arriving on UK stores by the end of June.  It will have a price tag of 399 EURO.

The Eee PC 1101HA will be available in both 1.33GHz Intel Atom Z520 processor and 1.6GHz Z530 CPU.

Other specs of this netbook include 1GB RAM, Intel GMA 500 graphics, 160GB HDD, WiFi, Bluetooth, 6-cell battery and 1.3MP web cam. It will be available in black and white models.

Here goes Asus’ official announcement at the ongoing Computex 2009. Making their official launch are the Eee PC Seashell Family with initial members Eee PC 1101HA, 1005HA, and 1008HA, Eee Videophone, and EeeTop PC T20/22.

Of these products, we’ve already covered the Eee PC Seashells ealier than the Computex event itself.  We all know that the Eee PC 1101HA, 1005HA and 1008HA will all come with 160GB HDD plus 10GB Online Storage, WiFi and Bluetooth, 1.3MP webcam with digital microphone, Super Hybrid Engine, multi-touch touchpad. On battery life, these three Eee PCs differ slightly with the 1005HA getting 10.5 hours, 1008HA with 6 hours and 1101HA with a long 11 hours of usage time.  Likewise for the screensize, both 1008HA and 1005HA sport 10.1-inches.

The next importan product which Asus launched during the Computex is the EeeTop PC ET20/22 All-in-One PC. The EeeTop PC ET20/22 features EeeCam, Eee Memo, FotoFun, embedded speakers with augmented SRS Premium Sound, Eee Splendid Video Intelligence Technology, Blu-ray Disc playback capabilities, HDMI connectivity.

The last of the Asus product is the Eee Videophone Touch AiGuru SV1T which is made for videoconfering and Skypeing.

Computex 2009 is set to kick start today somewhere in Taiwan. But Engadget has already managed to slipped into the Asus booth and captured a photo of Asus’ newest Eee PC model ready to be unveiled anytime now. The Eee PC 1101HA is ready to show itself to the world. And guess what Asus is set to offer to us all? A whooping 11.6-inch display with 1,366×768 resolution.

While you might think that by virtue of its LCD, the Eee PC 1101HA may no longer be considered as a netbook, the fact is no one can’t stop Asus from branding it under the Eee PC Seashell monicker.

Netbook or not, the Eee PC 1101HA boasts of some cool features topped by its 11 hours battery life. It will also feature Intel Atom Z520/Z530 CPU, 1GB RAM, 160GB HDD, 3 USB ports, and  multi-card reader. The Eee PC 1101HA will have two options for its battery -a 2220mAH and 2800mAh.

Any guesses as to how much this Eee PC would be sold?  It better be competitive with the Acer Aspire One 751H’’s $379.99 as clearly this is Asus rival to the said Acer 11.6-inch netbook.
