If 250GB isn’t enough space for you on the 1201N netbook, you could always upgrade the hard drive size. DevilDragon360 has taken his netbook apart and replaced the standard 250GB HDD with a 320GB HDD. Of course, if that isn’t enough for you, you could even get a higher capacity HDD. The 320GB HDD is currently available on Amazon for $79.99. Once you’ve got your replacement hard drive, the netbook needs to be taken apart, which involves a lot of screws. It’s not one of the easiest mods to achieve but, can be very beneficial, as not only can you upgrade the storage space but, also the RPM. DevilDragon360 has posted a video on how you can also replace the hard drive, which you can view below.

A few reviews for the recently on sale 12-incher from Asus have been coming in and while there are good points to be considered, it also seems to be lackluster in performance compared to similiarly priced CULV units.

As from our previous post, the specs combine both a dual core Atom with NVIDIA Ion for better graphics as well as a bigger screen that’s already bordering on notebook size. The battery life suffers though and the $499 price point is just a few bills short of a well performing CULV-based notebook. It’s kind of confused if it wants to be netbook with better video and gaming capabilities or a lightweight notebook alternative.

We’ll probably know more once they get into the hands of the public and see how it goes.

We first covered about the Eee PC 1201HA a couple of weeks ago when its specs leaked out from the Asus support site. But actually, Asus might come up with two of these 1201 Eee PC models, the other one being the Eee PC 1201N.

Eee PC Italia is reporting that it has received officia specs of these two Eee PCs and we got them here for you:

With 3GB of RAM, it looks like Asus is prepping up the Eee PC 1201N as a powerful computing machine with longer battery life and nice graphics power. The Eee PC 1201HA on the other seems to be the lower end model of the 1201N with its Atom Z520 CPU.

Both the Eee PC 1201N and 1201HA will most likely hit the stores after the official release of Windows 7. Probably in time for the Christmas shopping season?

What is not clear is whether this netbook will have the Windows 7 for OS as we all know that it won’t be out until sometime in October.

The image of the Eee PC 1201N looks like it’s following the similar design as the current Eee PC Seashell. Although as Brad noted, this may just be a reproduced version of those Eee PCs
