The Nokia Booklet 3G is one of the most expensive netbooks we’ve seen to date, so it’s probably come as no surprise that a knock off version is in the works. The design looks pretty much the same as the original Nokia Booklet but, the specs differ slightly. As it’s still being worked on, not all the specs are known as of yet. The 3G aspect of the booklet clone is currently unknown, so we’ll have to wait to hear on whether it will include a 3G connection option. Another spec which is unknown at the moment, is whether it has a HDMI output or not. MicGadget reports it as “maybe” having HDMI.

What we do know however, is that it will feature a 10.1 inch display, 1024×600 pixel resolution, 1GB RAM and a 160GB hard drive. It will also come equipped with the Intel Atom N450 CPU. The battery is also non removable, which depending on what the battery life is like, could be a big let down. Pricing isn’t known as of yet but, it’s expected to cost no more than 2,000 Yaun ($295).

Coby aren’t the only ones not to be releasing a netbook. HIS, a graphics card manufacturer, was reported to launch their own netbook, featuring a 10.2 inch screen, 1GB of RAM for approximately $400, however HIS have released a press statement stating that they will not be releasing a netbook.

Instead, the netbook was falsely labelled as being manufactured by HIS, who will be taking action against the offending company.
