There you go folks – a new netbook from Gigabyte, which we all know is a company that specializes in convertible type netbooks and nettops.  Up on its Japanese website is the M1022M Netbook, which we learned is a revival of a 2003-released  desktop called Muramasa MM50F.

For this year’s reincarnation of the said desktop, we have a the same design and cradle as the the desktop with a new twist. This time you can convert the said desktop into a netbook.

Of course, its specs were also upgraded. So we have the following – Intel Atom N280 CPU, 1GB RAM, 160GB HDD, and WiFi. Nothing spectacular with its specs really. But we really admired the resourcefulness of Gigabyte in trying to revive an old product into a new one.

The Gigabyte M102M netbook will be available at the end of this month in Japan.  No pricing info is available though as of this press time.
