The company Sakar International Electronics, known for producing gadgets targeted at younger audiences like cutesy karaoke and USB devices, unveiled new Hello Kitty, Nickelodeon, and Nickelodeon devices at the popular technological tradeshow CES this January 2012.

A highlight in their wares is their pink Hello Kitty tablet, which will be an obvious hit among die hard fans of the popular Sanrio character. The figure of the friendly cat appears on the back of the device with several pink hearts that will tickle the fancy of its enthusiasts.

The prototype of the Sakar Hello Kitty tablet runs on Android 2.3 Gingerbread OS. It has a 7-inch capacitive touchscreen with a pixel display resolution of 800 x 480. It has the standard ports, including two mini USB ports, a mini HDMI port, and a micro SD card slot. Its appearance is similar to the iPad, with its single physical button on its surface.

It may carry a single-core processor and 512MB of RAM and has flash storage of 2 to 8GB, but it is expandable through the micro SD slot. Apps are downloadable though the Android Market, which the device also carries.

The Sakar Hello Kitty tablet is expected to arrive on or before the holidays and will cost around $200.

The limited edition Hello Kitty netbook has been given the unboxing treatment. Akihabara news received their sample Hello Kitty netbook today and have taken snaps of the packaging and removal of the netbook. The C101K3W is white with a Hello Kitty face carved into the side. Yeah, that’s what I exactly said to myself when I read this Akihabara news announcing the new Hello Kitty netbook which is available only in of course, Japan.

This new Hello Kitty Netbook was from Onkyo company in Japan and it is said to be a rework design of Onkyo’s C1 notebook. The said netbook has a dedicated Hello Kitty wallpaper and its lid is painted with Hello Kitty images.

Hello Kitty fans would definitely want to have this netbook which is availably only at GeekStuff4u.com.

But don’t let the Hello Kitty design fool you into thinking that this is just pure cutesy netbook. It is packed with the standard netbook features which include the Atom CPU, 1GB of RAM, Intel 945GSE Express and 120GB of HDD.

Say Hello to the redesigned Akoya Mini from Medion.

Medion have added a redesigned Akoya Mini to their list of Akoya’s. The redesign sees Hello Kitty placed on the lid of the netbook or a butterfly design. The new redesigned model will retail for 479 Euros, as opposed to the standard Akoya Mini price of 369 Euros.

So what else does this 110 Euros difference get you? Well, nothing. The Hello Kitty Akoya Mini comes with the same specs found on the standard Akoya Mini. Both Akoya Mini’s come with a 10.2 inch screen, 1.6GHz Atom processor, 1GB RAM and 160GB hard drive.
