The said processor, which is the latest release of microprocessors from Intel Atom, is expected to speed up the HP netbook.

To start things off, the French Amazon website, amazon.fr, already has models of the HP mini 110 with Atom N2600 and N2800. Said devices run on the Windows 7 Starter platform and are packed with 1 to 2 GB of RAM. It has a 320GB hard disk drive, expandable via cards inserted into the built-in card reader.

The screen of the HP mini 110 measures 10.1 inches, and is backlit by LED lights. The pixel display resolution is 1024 x 600. It also has integrated graphics, a VGA webcam above the screen, and a keyboard which is said to be spill-resistant. It has a built-in wireless adapter (802.11 b/g/n), and 10/100 LAN. Bluetooth is also possible as well as transferring files using, as already mentioned, its media card reader.

The HP mini 110 is powered by a 6-cell battery. For all these, the HP mini 110 with the updated processor costs between $428 and $455 and will be available in February. HP has also announced the integration of the Cedar Trail microprocessor to the HP Mini 210.

HP has quietly upgraded the processing prowess of its two major netbook products, the HP Mini 110 and HP Mini 210. Both these netbooks now run on Intel Atom N455 or N475 if you so choose.

What does this new chip brings to the HP Mini 110 and 210? Nothing much really except for the fact that both netbooks are now compatible with DDR3 memory. And if you choose to have the Intel N475 instead of the N455, your HP Mini will have 1.88GHz clockspeed. But then, you will have to pay $25 extra for that.

Pricing for the HP Mini 110 and HP Mini 210 are now set at $280 and $330 respectively.

You’ve probably still remember one of HP’s most popular netbook – the HP Mini 110, right? HP has retired this netbook when its big brother, the HP Mini 210 came to life. But wait, the folks at Netbooked noticed that the HP Mini 110 was back on the HP online store.

But make no mistake, this is not the same HP Mini 110 we used to love. Instead, the new HP Mini 110 is a different kind of netbook, an upgraded version of the HP Mini 210 in fact.

Specs-wise, the new HP Mini 110 sports an Intel Atom N455/N475 CPU and DDR2 RAM instead of the DDR3 RAM which was loaded to the HP Mini 210. The HP Mini 110 also boasts of a 6-cell battery which interestingly was not present with the HP Mini 210.

The new HP Mini 110 will set you back for $279.99 and you can snag this baby from HP.com.

Here’s a quick rundown of its specs:

10.1″ display (matte) 1024 x 600 display (no HD option)

Intel Atom N455 / N475 processors

1GB DDR2 RAM (no DDR3 option available)

160GB / 250GB 5400RPM HDD

802.11b/g/n

Bluetooth (optional)

3G (optional)

Windows XP Home / 7 Starter

6-cell battery (9.5 hours)

Sure, you’ve read the specs but putting two actual netbooks together to see which looks good is something you probably can’t do at your friendly big box retailer. From what I can see, the trackpad looks much better on the 210 and it’s lower tilted from its extended battery. The 110 has bigger keys though. More pics below.

Most data bundles, which give you a free, or reduced cost netbook, over the course of the contract doesn’t work out to be such a good deal. The HP Mini 110 on Verizon is no different. While the upfront cost is only $30, you’re then tied into a 24 month contract. The contract runs at $60 a month, making the netbook $1470 over the course of the 2 years, including the one off fee. Of course, if having a 3G netbook is something that appeals to you and you’d make use of it, then perhaps it isn’t such a bad deal but, for most the deal doesn’t work out so great.

Netbooked recently got a new HP Mini 110 and posted a nice unboxing video of it. It seems to be a Japanese version with a very nice matte 1366 x 768 display that they really liked. Sadly, it came with a 3-cell battery and no recovery DVD. It seems to have all the usual HP Mini stuff bundled in it, like the stuff I got for my HP Mini 1013TU. It has a SIM card slot though from what I know, it depends on your country if it has a 3G dongle built in.

We’ve not heard of a product named the HP Mini 210 from the company themselves, but a support page on the Spanish HP web site shows 50 configurations for the mysterious device. A system update has also been spotted for the HP Mini 210.

Apart from the different configurations available, there’s actually no specifications given, so it may not even be a netbook, but it seems the most likely option. Liliputing suggest it could introduce a significant difference to their current netbook, the HP Mini 110. When further details are known on the device, we’ll post the updates.

Nothing much here really. Just some Japanese fashion store joining the netbook craze with their own “dressed-up” HP Mini 110. The gig was of course with the permission of HP Japan, otherwise we would call it as an outright vandalism of sorts for the HP Mini 110.

The fashionable HP Mini 110 is being marketed with an equally chic and fashionable netbook bag. Now in addition to these netbook bags, the package will also come with unique wallpapers for the HP Mini 110′s deskstop.

Specs-wise, it’s the same HP Mini 110. So, design is really the main point here. If you’re interested, better contact your friendly Japanese retailer if they carry the said netbook. Hurry up, coz there will only be 100 units to be sold.
