Fancy a netbook with 12 hours battery life? Well, you’re in luck as LG is set to launch an upgraded model of its X130 netbook. Yes folks, LG is set to release a new X130 netbook variant equipped with a 9-cell battery pack – that gives you like we said 12 hours of battery life.

Specs and feature wise, its still the same LG X130 netbook we covered not so long ago. You’ll get a 1.6GHz Intel Atom N270 CPU, 1GB of RAM, a 10.1-inch LCD with 1024×600 pixel resolution, 160GB HDD, Wi-Fi, Bluetooh and Windows XP Home.

The LG X130 will be available pretty soon in Asia, Latin America, Europe, the Middle East and Africa. It will set you back for around $632.

LG is about to update its LG X120 netbook with a new netbook which just got into the hands of the FCC. According to the documents forwarded to the FCC, this LG netbook was listed as the LG X13. But that seems a rather akward follow-up to the LG X120 so our guess is that it will be released as the LG X130.

Anyway, setting aside the name issue, the FCC documents don’t seem to reveal any outstanding specs of the LG X120. It seems that this netbook would just be your standard netbook models with 1.6GHz CPU, 160GB HDD, 1 GB RAM and the rest of the standard netbook specs. Bluetooth and WiFi would also be supported. The LG X13 also have a wider form factor than the LG X120.

And that’s just about it for what we know of this netbook. LG would probably strike a deal with some US mobile broadband provider to make this netbook more appealing and interesting to consumers.
