Gigabyte's M1028
Announced recently, Gigabyte’s M1028 is one of the more interesting netbooks to come out of the woodwork. Aside from typical netbook specs, it comes with a 10-inch convertible screen, which sort of makes it like a tablet. The overall design isn’t that bad, too. In case you were feeling a bit antzy about when it will finally come out, don’t fret. The said netbook has just passed through the U.S.’s FCC, and events like this is usually followed by the device finally going on sale. In any case, it’s clear to be available as a wireless device in the U.S. in the future.

As the 9-inch Gigabyte M912 netbook got its own 6-cell battery, a larger version of the said netbook was introduced, and it’s called the Gigabyte M1028 Touch Note, also a convertible netbook. Here is it pictured above, and as for the specs, it also comes with features that you’d normally find on netbooks being sold these days:

  • 10 inch 1024 x600 touch screen
  • Intel Atom N270 with 1GB RAM
  • 160GB HD
  • Bluetooth
  • b/g/n Wifi
  • Ethernet
  • 3G option
  • SD card slot
  • ExpressCard slot
  • VGA out
  • 3 x USB
  • 1.3Mpix webcam
  • XP Home

It was seen on display at this year’s MWC, but there’s no word yet on a release date or price.
