gigabyte-6-cell
Those of you using the Gigabyte M912 convertible netbook will be glad to find out about its new 6-cell battery, shown here rearing its ugly head/butt inserted in a working unit. There’s no info on how long the battery lasts on a single charge, but it’s most likely more than the standard 3 hours one can achieve from bundled 3-cell batteries. It goes for only 60 euros a piece. If you’ve ever wanted to get one in the past, now’s your chance.

It seems that there will be more than one screen resolution to choose from if you plan on buying one of the soon to be released Gigabyte M912 mini tablet PC’s.

It’s common knowledge that there will be more than one model with variations in os and hard drive size with the M series having an 80 GB hard drive and the X/V models having double that with 160 GB but, there is now news that there are at least two different sizes of screen resolution to choose from (both have an 8.9 inch screen)- the 1280 x 768 pixels of the M912v and M912x (with inverter) and the 1024 x 600 pixels of the M912M (with LED back lighting).

Prices aren’t clear yet but, it’s clear that the M series will be a little lighter on your pocket than the X/V models.
