With a few days to go before CES 2009, everyone seems to be gearing up with their new devices to showcase during the event. Among them is HP which seems to be readying a new version of the Mini Note 1000. Based on what the product teaser page indicates, we’re looking at the HP Mini Note 1000 Mi Edition, with Mi of course obviously referring to Mobile Internet.
Unfortunately the product page doesn’t say much about the Mini-Note 1000 Mi’s specs except for some lines on its peculiar description.
Judging from what we can see from the picture, the netbook seems to be running on Ubuntu Linux with its dashboard-style interface. The page also indicates a 92% near-full-size keyboard. It will also come with a built-in webcam and SSD with option for additional storage courtesy of a recessed port on the side.
Best part is, the HP Mini-Note 1000 Mi edition is expected to hit the streets at $379.99 price tag.
