Frustrated that your netbook won’t allow you to play games that need a little more graphics ‘power’ to run them? Well, Asus could be just about to take gaming on their Eee PC’s to the next stage.

Asus have said that they could be releasing a netbook in the near future that could possibly have dedicated graphics that would allow gamers to run more resource intensive games. The spokesperson also said that this netbook would definitely be an Eee PC and is not to be confused with the Asus N10 which also has dedicated graphics.

This is all just a rumor right now, nothing is confirmed and Asus already have the 10 inch N10 for small screen gaming but, we’ll keep you informed of any news of the Eee PC becoming an oversized handheld console as it comes in.

Laptop MagazineEngadget and Geek.com recently had a presentation with an ASUS representative showing off the N10. The ASUS representative stated on multiple occasions that the N10 is a “notebook, not netbook”.

There will be two models of the N100 available, N10E and N10J. The N10E will start at $599 while the N10J will retail for $699. For the extra money it gets you a larger hard drive and switchable graphics.

The N10 comes with a 10 inch screen, with a resolution of 1024 x 600, 2GB of RAM, 1.6HGZ Atom processer and an ExpressCard slot. You’re also find a fingerprint reader, SmartLogon facial recognition, bluetooth and wlan as welel as a DisplayPort Video Out.

The N10E will come with a 160GB hard drive while the N10J will come with a 320GB hard drive. The N10E will also come with intergrated intel graphics where as the N10J will have switchable graphics of either Intergrated Intel or Nvidid GeForce 9300 MS.

That new Asus notebook sporting an Atom CPU and a 10.2-inch display which we reported not so long ago was finally unveiled in Korea. Said notebook will have a GeForce 9300GS and Intel N270 Atom processor.

Other than those two information, we all know that the Asus N10 would have a fingerprint feature, a 1.3 webcam, HDMI ports, Altec Lansing Speakers, Bluetooth, Wi-Fi.

Official press release is not yet available though, so we don’t know yet as to how much this new Asus notebook will debut in the market.

Interestingly, we would want to know whether Asus will still market this as an Eee PC model or not anymore. The Asus S10 which was said to be not an Eee PC machine got slipped into the FCC donning the Eee PC branding still.
