NVIDIA’s latest graphics solutions should be arriving within the second quarter of 2012. That said, it demands that the Santa Clara would have already started shipping its products to OEMs before that time.

Meanwhile, notebook manufacturers are already receiving boxes of Kepler GPUs. Nevertheless, the true, biggest batch will only be available in some point around the middle of February. The first notebooks will have the GPUs supporting Intel’s Ivy Bridge series of CPUs (central processing units).

With AMD Radeon HD 7000M GPUs also scheduled to appear within the timeframe, everything will result in offers like Dell’s Alienware lineup, which will have both Radeon HD 7970M as well as GeForce GTX 660M graphic options.

What most people may not expect is that Kepler will also land inside Ultrabooks as well, knowing the need for thinness and, so the chance that these new portable PCs will do away with the Integrated GPU of the central processor.

Assuming NVIDIA really hits the Ultrabook design, chances are only entry-level as Kepler solutions will be small enough to fit.

Two new updates have followed a press event in Hamburg as Acer unveils its new products in its tablet line-up, the Iconia Tab A700 and A510. The Tablet Community as well as the Tablet Test expect the quad-core Android 4.0 tablets to be produced starting in February or March and should be available in April.

One Acer staff, gave the tentative pricing for both models. The A510 would likely sell at €500 with tax included. On the other hand, the 64GB A700 will cost no more than €749. Prices could go down when “competition” calls for it. The European costs could also be the basis for American pricing, which is more or less the same and could mean a range of $499 to $749 before tax.

The two Iconia Tabs sport 10-inch screens and runs on NVidia Tegra 3 processors, which give them much better performance. However, the A510 has a 1280×800 resolution, while the A700 will have a 1920×1080 display that’s very much ideal for web browsing, reading, and video playback. Acer is expected to release 16GB versions of each.

Though Fujitsu isn’t one of the biggest name in mobile devices, the Japanese company still has its hopes to change the near future with its new tablet, called the Stylistic m532 that’s built on Nvidia’s Tegra 3 quad-core SoC.

While Acer’s Iconia Tab A700 and the Asus Transformer TF700 possess high-res display, the m532 is built around a 10.1-inch screen that’s capable of pushing almost 1280×800 pixels.

Inside of this machine is Nvidia’s Tegra 3 SoC, along with 16GB of Flash storage, which should suit the needs for many users. If this, however, isn’t enough, storage can be expanded by installing a microSD card.

The slot required by this sort of cards is placed on the side of the tablet, right near a SIM card slot, a mini-HDMI output and a micro-USB port, the latter being used for charging and/or connecting the tablet to a computer. The m532 also includes one front webcam sporting a 3MP resolution and a rear 8MP snapper with flash.

Fujitsu’s tablet should be available in May this year for only $630. The demo unit was running Android 3.2 Honeycomb, but the final version will arrive with Android 4.0 ICS.

Asus is now updating its notebook lineup with a series of new models that are built on Intel’s upcoming Ivy Bridge processors. These are going to be paired with Nvidia’s upcoming Kepler GPUs. The Taiwanese company is reported to release at least three models ranging from multimedia to gaming notebooks.

Asus will be releasing its most advanced laptops yet, the G-Series, which is expected to have an Nvidia GeForce GTX 670M graphics card, while the rest of the new models will include other graphics cards in the GeForce 600M-series, including the 660M.

As far as the Intel Ivy Bridge processors in these notebooks are concerned, there is not much information about them for now, but you can expect to see a wide range of chips being distributed from Intel’s Core i3, i5 and i7 series.

All the models should be available from April, as this is when Intel is expected to launch its first batch of Ivy Bridge processors.

We’ve heard a lot about Acer Iconia tablets, both official and reported to be launched alike, but not the Acer Iconia Tab A700. Information about this device is so rare that Acer Iconia enthusiasts became ecstatic when it made its way to Russia. NoMobile.ru, a Russian tech site, reports that the 10.1-inch, 1920 x 1200 resolution tablet will make its official debut at CES next month. This resolution is 180 pixels greater than full HD (1920 x 1080).

Below are some points indicated in the review:

A700 is thinner than it’s younger brother, Acer Iconia A200.

The tablet is bordered by SIM and micro-USB slots, a dedicated rotation lock switch, the standard volume rockers, an audio jack and a micro-HDMI port.

It is equipped with a high resolution camera of 5MP with flash. The front camera can record video in HD.

It has a capacitive sensor, which recognizes up to 10 fingers simultaneously.

It has NVIDIA chip — a quad-core ARM, operating at maximum frequency of 1.3 GHz.

Wireless interfaces are Wi-Fi (a / b / g / n), Bluetooth 3.0 and 3G.

The gadget weighs 650 grams.

It has a 10-hour-long battery, thanks to 9800 mAh battery.

We may have to wait for Acer Iconia Tab A700 a bit longer as it is reported to be in stores on March or even April.

It looks like Asus is planning to make moves just in time for the official release of Android 4.0 a.k.a. Ice Cream Sandwich. While talking on stage at AsiaD with the Wall Street Journal’s Walt Mossberg, Asus head Jonney Shih unveiled the “next-generation Transformer tablet”. Much like the original Asus Eee Pad Transformer, this new one will feature a 10-inch screen and Android as its mobile operating system. However, it’s gonna pack a lot more punch than its predecessor due to its quad-core NVIDIA Tegra 3 chip. Other features include a built-in SD card slot, mini-HDMI port, and 14.5 hours of battery life. Asus has decided to officially call this new tablet the Transformer Prime, and it will have an official launch in two weeks time–November 9. We’ll be privy to more details about the Asus Transformer Prime then, so watch out for updates.
