As expected, O2 UK has finally launched its own free netbook/cheap laptop data plan bundle, and new subscribers can avail immediately of the offer. In total, O2 UK will give customers a choice between three laptops, but these only come in two models. One is the Samsung NC10, which has been hailed by many as the best netbook ever (before the Asus Eee PC 1000HE), and then there’s the Samsung R510 (and a “multimedia version” of the same).

The basic data plan comes with 3GB of download and costs £30 per month, with which either the Samsung NC10 or R510 can be availed for free. A £40 per month plan is also available and gives 10GB download, and both plans last two years on contract. So if you’ve been waiting for these deals ever since they were first announced, don’t be left out and contact your nearest O2 branch now.

O2 UK is feeling generous and will start offering the Samsung NC10 for free starting from February 27th. As you probably know, the Samsung NC10 is a great 10.2-inch netbook that many have hailed as the best netbook ever. It comes with a 1.6GHz Intel Atom processor, 1GB RAM, 160GB HDD, and other standard netbook features. Where it stands out over other netbooks is its great keyboard, touchpad, and long battery life. Anyone in the UK looking to get themselves a new netbook shouldn’t pass on O2’s great offer. Data plans start around £30 per month for 3GB of mobile broadband, unlimited Wi-Fi at the Cloud wireless hotspots, and 300 free O2-to-O2 text messages. It’s only a matter of time until other carriers across the world start offering similar packages with the Samsung NC10.
