Shuttle has just announced two new small form factor PCs equipped with Via’s Nano processors. These are the Shuttle XS92 and XS29F, which are expected to be showcased next week during Computex in Taipei, Taiwan. The Shuttle XS92 SFF will feature VIA’s Nano L CPUs while the Shuttle XS29F SFF PC will have VIA’s Nano U line of CPUs to be more power efficient, not needing any internal fans because of low thermal output. Not much else have been revealed about these SFF PCs at the moment, but expect to learn more about them in June at Computex.

lLenovo IdeaPad S12
Lenovo has just announced a proper 12-inch netbook that ups the ante with just a little bit of innovation. This is the Lenovo IdeaPad S12, priced rather attractively starting at $449. It comes with typical netbook specs, including a 1.6GHz Intel Atom processor, 1GB of RAM, LED-backlit 1,280 x 800 pixel resolution display, full-size keyboard, options for a 160GB, 250GB or 320GB hard drive, built-in Bluetooth, Wi-Fi, 3 USB ports, Ethernet Jack and VGA/HDMI out. It is the very first netbook to utilize NVIDIA’s Ion chipset, also found on the Acer Aspire Revo nettop, which should enable it to handle 1080p video just fine. It will be available for purchase starting next month with Windows XP preloaded, but I’m sure it won’t be hard for you to install Windows 7 or any other OS on it if you so choose. Check out a gallery of the Lenovo IdeaPad S12 after the break.

gateway-netbook-2
Among a group of new notebook models introduced by Gateway recently is this — the Gateway LT1001i — an 8.9-inch netbook that packs an Intel Atom N270 processor and other basic netbook features. It comes with Windows XP Home Edition pre-installed, and has 1GB of RAM, a 160GB HDD, 802.11 b/g/n Wi-Fi, Intel’s Mobile 945GSE Express Chipset, built-in Bluetooth, webcam, and card reader. It weighs just 2.2 lbs and costs just quite a bit over $400. This doesn’t have enough to beat the Acer Aspire One, but should be good for those who want to be different. Short gallery of photos after the break.

1002-ha
Though it’s been practically available forever on other markets, MSI Wind Spanish reports that the Asus Eee PC 1002HA has just been officially announced over there, and they are pegging the price at about 449 € or nearly $600 USD. This particular netbook won’t be different from its U.S. or Asia-Pacific counterparts, in that it will come with a 10.2-inch screen, Intel Atom processor, 802.11 b/g/n Wi-Fi, and a 5-hour 4200mAh battery. It will come with Windows XP out of the box, but one can easily upgrade the OS to either Vista or Windows 7 if needed. No word yet on which retail outlets it will be sold in, but it should be in leading computer stores in the next few days.
