MSI Wind U100 PLUS
Just like how Acer is sticking to the “One” moniker for their netbooks, it looks like MSI is going to keep holding on to their Wind line of 10-inch screen-equipped mobile computing machines. The Taiwanese outfit has just launched what it calls the MSI Wind U100 PLUS, a new version of the old MSI Wind that comes with an Intel Atom N280 processor.

aa0-d150-launch
Already available in numerous countries across the world, Acer’s Aspire D150 netbook just got an official press launch in France yesterday. And Netbook3G was there to snap a few photos and cover the said launch event. The Acer Aspire D150 configuration for France is still the same as it is elsewhere — 10-inch screen, 160GB HDD, 1GB RAM, 1.6GHz Intel Atom CPU. It’s exactly the same. Netbook3G took the opportunity to inquire about Acer’s slimline ZG8 model during the press launch, and the company refused to give any comments regarding the said product. Hopefully, they’ll be more than accomodating next time and tell us exactly what that unannounced netbook is.

Compaq CQ2000M
This literally slipped past us, but thanks to a mention on Netbook3G, we are now aware of the Compaq CQ2000M, the newest nettop on the block. Compaq didn’t exactly make it big in the netbook space when it launched the Compaq Mini 700 (although HP did), so they’re going to try their luck nettops now. The Compaq CQ2000M actually looks pretty good on paper. Its specs, which include a DVD writer, are:

- Intel Atom N230 processor
- 1GB RAM
- DVD players / recorders
- 160GB HDD
- Ethernet port
- Sound card with 5.1 audio
- 4 USB ports
- Windows XP
- 20 inch screen (bundled monitor)
- Keyboard + optical mouse

No word on a release date or pricing yet, but we’ll be on the lookout for those and will let you know in a future update.

mini-10-french
Dell recently held a press conference in France in which it officially launched a 3G version of the Dell Mini 10. The photo you see above was taken by the guys from over at Netbook3G, and other photos comparing it to the Asus Eee PC 901 Go are also available on their site. The absence of a button on that trackpad is very evident, though it doesn’t look like it’s going to be much of a problem. If you a refresher as to the Dell Mini 10’s specs:

  • Atom Z530 CPU
  • 1GB RAM
  • Multi-touch Trackpad
  • 160GB HDD (No SSD models currently)
  • 10” 1024×576 Display (HD screen will also be available 1366 x 768 I think)
  • Wi-Fi N, Webcam, 3G Broadband, GPS, TV Tuner
  • Windows XP Home
  • 3-Cell or 6-Cell Battery

More photos and details are available at the Netbook3G site, linked below.
