Techradar is reporting that an Asus representative has confirmed to them that the Atom-powered Asus Eee PC is definitely coming to the UK by the end June. Although not officially confirmed, Asus fans have a reason to expect the arrival of the Asus Eee PC with Atom chipset by June as a prototype was already displayed in the IDF in Shanghai a couple of weeks ago.

In case you are wondering why many tablet PC fans are anticipating the release of this new version of the Asus Eee PC, putting the Atom chipset inside the Eee PC will definitely bring longer longer battery life. Current Eee PC versions currently last up to 1.5 hours of continued use only. Unless of course you did some modification of you unit, then you would probably be getting more hours than that.

Plus of course increase in processing speed would also be introduced once the Atom is used by the Eee PC.

One question remains to be answered though, and that is which of the Eee PC models and their variation would come with the ATOM processor? Is it the Eee PC 701 (and any of the its two versions) or the Eee PC 900?
