The upcoming Asus Zenbook Prime UX31A Ivy Bridge notebook is now available for pre-order on the Czech site Heureka, and in its standard high-end configuration with a 256GB SSD and 1.9GHz Intel Core i7 chip, the asking price is a cool 31,000 CZK or about $1,625 USD.

For that much money, you can expect to get a full HD IPS 13.3-inch display, 4GB of DDR3 RAM, HDMI and VGA output, a 10-hour battery, built-in card reading capabilities, Wi-Fi, and Bluetooth 4.0. And of course, it has a backlit keyboard. Keep in mind, though, that even if you can pre-order this particular model right now, you may have to wait until June to actually get your hands on it since that’s when the second-generation Ultrabooks such as this one are supposed to get released in the market.

Also, if you can somehow wait until June actually arrives, you’ll get to see other configurations of this same notebook, including one that sports an 11-inch screen and somewhat lower-level specs (that still pack an Ivy Bridge punch). More details on that are going to be posted here as soon as they become available.

The Alienware M11x, when we first saw it, seemed like the best alternative to a full-sized gaming laptop especially if you value portability. It’s scheduled for arrival in Japan on February, but folks in the U.S. will have to wait for another month to get their hands on it. It’s available for pre-order right now, though, right on Dell’s own web site.

It’s worth noting that the base price of $799 will only get you a base configuration which includes an Intel Pentium SU4100 processor, 2GB of dual channel DDR3 memory at 800MHz and a 160GB SATAII hard drive. Fortunately, the 1GB NVIDIA GeForce GT 335M exists in all configurations, so anyone who purchases the Alienware M11x will be able to enjoy somewhat high-end gaming on the go, upgrades or no upgrades.

The 22nd has come and gone and the Nokia Booklet 3G still isn’t available to purchase from Best Buy despite the demo model arriving. The netbook is however available to pre-order now from Best Buy. The price remains at the previously reported price of $599.99. Only the black model is available to pre-order at the moment but, the blue and white models will also be available soon.

The Nokia Booklet will also be available with an AT&T data plan. Once this becomes available the netbook price will drop to $299.

The long-awaited 12-inch Samsung NC20 has just gone up for pre-order on Amazon UK, and anyone living in or near the UK can take advantage of this sale now. In case you’ve forgotten, the NC20 is a follow-up to the 10-inch NC10, and features Via’s Nano processor, first and foremost, instead of an Intel Atom like most other netbooks available in the market today. It will also probably run Windows 7 easily, though it would be better to confirm it when the unit actually ships. Its price is a bit steep at around $489 USD, but it should be well worth the money, especially when it’s bundled with a standard 6-cell battery.

Dell’s 10-inch Mini 10 netbook is now up for pre-order, but not from Dell. Instead, one can buy it off the web site of QVC, for $559. It will ship on March 20th. To refresh your memory, here are a few of the Dell Inspiron Mini 10′s specs:

There’s a new and improved version of the Samsung NC10 available for pre-order on Amazon, and it sports a few minor improvements over the original that some users may see as enough to justify its $499 price. The new, special edition Samsung NC10, with product code 11PBK, touts a larger touchpad than the old NC10, a glossy screen, and a higher-capacity 6-cell battery for up to 9.4 hours of computing power. Amazon has this product exclusively, and they are shipping it for free for those who pre-order from its product page.
