One of the first reviews of the Acer Aspire One D250 has surfaced. The netbook dual boots with Android and Windows XP which is relatively easier. It’s noted that a twin power button would have been great but, none the less switching between operating systems is easy. A reboot dialogue allows users to switch between XP and Android. Shutting down was quick and loading into Android took around 20 seconds.

The netbook overall receives a verdict of disappointing and feels semi finished, most of which is attributed to Android. The Android Market has been removed from the OS along with the ability to block sideload software, making it a “closed OS”. On the other hand, Acer seem to have also reworked the OS so that it fits the larger screen on the D250, which is a 10 inch display. Windows XP however works as well as expected on the netbook.

Said to be on track for a release in the UK next month, the 9-inch touchscreen-equipped Asus Eee PC T91 has been caught in pictures yet again, this time by UK tech site Electric Pig. Looking at what the Eee PC T91 is now, before its official release, it appears as if Asus has nearly perfected the 9-inch form factor, and considering how good the Eee PC T91 looks as both a netbook and a convertible tablet, the 10-inch Eee PC T101 is bound to be better by leaps. If you are holding off buying any more netbooks before the Eee PC T91 and T101 from Asus, then maybe the latest Eee PC T91 hands-on pictures will be enough to tide you over. See them all at the link below.

Eager to read the first user reviews of LG’s upcoming X120 netbook? So are we. And we’re in luck, ’cause today we stumbled upon a quick preview of the said netbook from Linus Tech Tips. Well, it’s not so much a preview as just a showing off of an unpowered device that’s taken apart. We did learn, however, that the LG X120 is just an easy pickle when it comes to teardowns. All it took was the taking out of several screws and careful pulling to reveal that the HDD and RAM on the X120 are both easily upgradable, and that’s good enough to know for most people. After the break, photos of the LG X120′s innards exposed. We sure can’t wait to get out hands on this.
