Do you own the Samsung N310 netbook with 1GB of RAM? Do you want to upgrade it to a 2GB RAM capacity? Well you might want to check out with your local netbook dealer and find out if they are offering this RAM upgrade for the Samsung N310.

JKOntheRun reports that Samsung informed him about the deal. That is RAM upgrade from 1GB to 2GB. If Samsung is really offering this upgrade it’s a pretty good deal since the 2GB module normally costs $69.99 and the offer will give it for only $19.99.

Also included in the deal is a case worth $20.

The Samsung Go, aka N310 which features a rubberised shell, anti bacterial keyboard and considered to be a “kid friendly netbook”, also uses FailSafe technology inside. FailSafe, from Phoenix Technologies provices IP tracking of the netbook along with BIOS encryption.

FailSafe is a unique theft deterrence product and service from Phoenix Technologies that provides you with the ability to protect, track, and manage your laptop and your confidential information if it’s ever lost or stolen.

Encrypt your data, secure your laptop, and protect your identity with FailSafe.

FailSafe is described as being practically impossible to bypass without destroying the hardware and with it the data. Which makes it a great netbook for business executives who need to keep their files safe, despite the rubberised look, which in the end, makes it more mobile to carry around without having to worry too much about knocks and bumps.

Want some more Samsung N310 goodies aside from the side-by-side comparison with the NC10? Well, here are some more hands-on photos, as well as a brief review by portablegear.nl.

The article is in dutch, but from what we can understand from the translated text using Google, the folks at portablegear.nl seems to be recommending the Samsung N310 to those looking for a uniquely design netbook. Something that we don’t normally see in standard 10-inch netbooks today. This is understandable because the Samsung N310 was specially designed by Naoto Fukasawa, a popular Japanese designer.

Take note, the Samsung N310 is priced slightly higher than the Samsung N110 but with the same specs, except for the the form factor and design.

So while Samsung is releasing the N110 and N120 netbooks in the U.S., somewhere in Korea, Samsung is launching another netbook – the N310 premium netbook we previously told you about.   Fresh from receiving an international design award, the N310’s most noteable feature is a curved-design finish and its frameless LCD.

Aside from those two main features, the Samsung N310 also boasts of a 10-inch LCD screen, Intel Atom CPU, 1GB RAM, 160GB HDD, Wi-Fi, HSDPA, and WiBRO. It is also equipped with 3 USB ports, 1.3 MP camera, 3-in-1 memory card reader, and battery pack with 5 hours usage.

The Samsung N310 will be available in Turkey Blue and Red Orange color variants in Korea and will set you back for around $620-$690.

As always no words yet as to when the Samsung N310 will be available internationally.

samsung-n310-live-photo
Announced recently, the curved and rubbery Samsung N310 has just been put through its very first hands-on session. In press photos, it looks quite toy-like, with its rubberized outer shell and with the huge seemingly-embossed Samsung logo behind the disaplay. In real life, however, it doesn’t look that bad. There’s a decent-sized keyboard paired with its 10-inch screen, although the bright colored chassis still seems somewhat like a distraction. Its thick profile also serves as proof of its 1.23 kg weight. However, that’s also why it manages to tout typical netbook ports and peripherals plus give up to 5 hours of battery life on a single charge. The Samsung N310 is expected to become available in Europe, Asia and the US starting May, and will sell at the $400 mark.
