<p>If you&#8217;re looking for ways to &#8216;trick out&#8217; your netbook then <a href="http://gigaom.com/2008/12/02/10-ways-to-trick-out-your-netbook/">GigaOM</a> have posted up a great list of free ways to do just that.</p>
<p>There are some obvious candidates on the list including OpenOffice which as a free application, is one of the most <span id="more-2057"></span>powerful office apps out there and is a must for anyone that needs office software on a budget. PortableApps and Google Chrome also get a mention in the list along with online hosted apps such as Zoho, Google Apps and Ulteo.</p>
<p style="text-align: center;"><a href="http://eeepc.net/wp-content/uploads/2008/12/logo_sm.jpg"><img class="size-medium wp-image-2060 aligncenter" title="logo_sm" src="http://eeepc.net/wp-content/uploads/2008/12/logo_sm.jpg" alt="" width="150" height="55" /></a><a href="http://eeepc.net/wp-content/uploads/2008/12/portable_apps_logo.png"><img class="alignnone size-medium wp-image-2062" title="portable_apps_logo" src="http://eeepc.net/wp-content/uploads/2008/12/portable_apps_logo-300x56.png" alt="" width="300" height="56" /></a></p>
<p>As netbooks become increasingly popular, it&#8217;s good to see a list of ways to maximize their use and capabilities and as I always say &#8211; free is good!</p>
